Seed banks help poor farmers secure quality seeds at economical price

210 farmers from 5 villages have established 3 seed banks  for five villages  and are its members for accessing good quality seeds at reasonable price and at an appropriate time. Seeds  like 870 kg of  Mustard, 36 kg of  linseed, 180 kg  onion and garlic have been distributed for Rabi crop through the seed bank. Other than this, 15 types of paddy seeds, 9 types of vegetables and 3 types of pulses are being preserved in the seed bank. The project is implemented with the support of LIC-HFL.
