Potable Water, Sanitation, and Health

Potable Water, Sanitation, and Health

Samarthan is dedicated to improving the quality of life for citizens across India by enhancing access to safe drinking water, sanitation, hygiene, and public health. In the absence of such facilities, women and children are disproportionately affected, impacting health and nutrition indicators. Sustainable improvement in service delivery, supported by government and donor investments, requires active community participation and local institutional ownership. Key intervention areas include capacity building for local institutions and the establishment of participatory planning, monitoring, and implementation systems.
